Enter the dining room of an elaborate hotel in Paris to enjoy the ambiance displayed in the lighting, the furniture, and decor of the room. Filet mignon steaks are sizzling on the grill while chefs prepare delectable side dishes of gourmet potatoes and vegetables served with appetizing presentation. The dinner salads contain the freshest crisp lettuce and curled cucumber slices with tiny little cherry tomatoes.  On the side, servers garnish the steaks with sauteed mushrooms cut in rosettes that melt in your mouth instantly. Appetites soar at the sights and smells in the room as the heady aroma fills the room.

Fine dining is a grand step beyond eating at a fast food restaurant or ordering steaks online. Personally, I would never put a fast food restaurant in or near a world class hotel. It would have to be gourmet and specialty foods all the way. If I were a meat eater, I'd prefer kobe beef over others and I would select local cheeses manufactured with the purest organic ingredients. If a hotel is to maintain or gain a refined reputation then it has to serve up a comprehensive quality menu filled with delicious refined foods. Hotels and resorts will be a success or failure based solely on food and service. It's something to think about whether you are looking to invest in a hotel or if you are planning a trip and you want to commemorate with a champagne hotel.
